MABEL WOODWARD 1929 - 2003 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Mabel Woodward on Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Beacon Hill Lodge, at the age of 74 years. She will be sadly missed by her closest and dearest, her children, Gordon Roberts (Maria), Sandra, Karen and Deborah Lynn; grandchildren, Kristina, Patricia, Shannon, Steven, Michael, Jamie and Tommy; sisters, Viola Anderson and Evelyn Ferland; brother Gordie Woodward; dearest friend Laurie Harris, and her many pets. She is predeceased by her partner Don Bennett; son Gary Roberts; parents George and Isabella and brothers, Walter and George. Mabel thoroughly enjoyed bowling, dancing and her many activities at the Ladies Auxiliary Branch No. 6 in Montreal. On Monday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m., Mabels funeral service will be held at the Beacon Hill Lodge, 190 Fort St., Winnipeg, MB. Mabels remains will eternally rest with her beloved son Gary. Our family would like to extend a special thanks to the fine and caring staff at Beacon Hill Lodge and to her companion Peggy Thrush. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mabels memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 6, c/o G. Mancell-Jotkus, 3674 Clark St., Montreal, QC H2X 2S2.
