ELSIE YESKE (nee SCHILLER) Mrs. Elsie Yeske (nee Schiller) of Kamloops passed away peacefully on October 23, 2003 after a brief illness at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ed; son Lawrence (Darlene) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Tammy of Winnipeg and Shauna (Derek) Schopohl of Stonewall, Manitoba; daughter Laureen (Ron) Baker of Kamloops, grandchildren, Ron E. of Kamloops, Michael (Tonia) and great-granddaughter Shontel all of Maple Ridge and Steve of Port Coquitlam. She is also remembered by sister Alma Schiller of Weyburn, SK, brother Rudolph (Helen) Schiller of Beausejour, Manitoba and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family. She is predeceased by her brothers, Gottleib, William and Adolph. Elsie was born September 19, 1920 and raised in Green Bay, Manitoba. Elsie and Ed moved to Kamloops in 1948. Elsie was an avid gardener and took great pride in her African Violets. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Viewing will be held on Monday, October 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 2481 Sunset Drive with Pastor Gordon Heselton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Should friends desire donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 203-635 Victoria St., Kamloops, BC V2C 2B3 in memory of Elsie would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Mosewich and Dr. Zsigmond and the nurses on 3 South. Also special thanks to nurses Helen and Dawn for their care and compassion given to Elsie while to Royal Inland Hospital.
