VERA EILEEN SINCLAIR Peacefully on October 25, 2003 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Vera Sinclair, aged 96 years, a longtime resident of Lockport, MB. Vera was born in Parkdale, MB on November 3, 1906, daughter of the late Alfred and Nellie Larter, and had lived there until her marriage to Thomas Sinclair in 1929 at which time they moved to Lockport. Vera was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1982, a son-in-law James Stralow in 1973 and two brothers and a sister. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Dell (Mary) of St. Andrews and Ken (Joan) of Lockport; a daughter Meryl Stralow of St. Andrews; ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Old St. Andrews on the Red Anglican Church with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the churchyard beside her husband. Each of us will have our own special memories of a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A caring person who faced life with dignity, grace, courage and optimism. These memories of her are gifts to us - to laugh, cry over and draw comfort from. These are our treasures to keep and hold onto. Death is not sad - its a time for elation, a joyous transition, the souls emigration into a place where the soul is safe and free to live with God through eternity. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
