Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA SPIK It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Olga Spik, on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Concordia Hospital. Olga was born on January 10, 1920 in Chatfield, Manitoba. Olga was united in marriage to Alexander Spik in February of 1943. She, her husband Alex and their family resided and owned businesses in Winnipeg, Powerview and Fort Frances, Ontario, where Olga made many friends. She moved with her family to Fort Frances in 1967. There she and her family enjoyed many great fishing trips at their cottage at Rainy Lake. Olga enjoyed her family, friends and gardening. Her home was always open to family and friends, where she always made time for all. Olga leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her family, son Peter and wife Anne of Toronto, Ontario; daughters, Elaine Soucy and Bill Moody of Denlin, Ontario and Glenda DePauls and her husband Sam of Selkirk, Manitoba; grandchildren, Nicole (John), Andrea (Matthew), Jennifer, Anthony, Tammy; and great-grandson Matthew, as well as her sister Toni Slaney; and brother Maurice Rudick; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, parents, brother and sister and son-in-law Rick Soucy. Friends may call to pay their respects on Monday evening, October 27, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Funeral service to follow on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. also at the chapel, with Rev. John Holmen officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. A donation, in Olgas memory, to the Concordia Hospital Foundation, would be an appreciated tribute to her generous, thoughtful nature. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
