Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT STANLEY VINCENT With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of our dear father Robert Vincent, who passed away at Betel Place in Selkirk, MB, on October 24, 2003 at the age of 89 years. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Muriel, brothers, Hugh, Arthur and Victor; and stepsisters, Dulcie and Winnie. He is survived by his stepbrothers, Bert Judd of Brandon and Bim Judd of Tilston, MB. Dad leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Richard (Charlotte) and son Jeffrey (Angela). Leslie Smith (Robert) and children, Jason (Debbie), and Alicia (Caelum), and Lynne Kowal (Barry) and children, Michael, Barry Jr. and Robin (Tammy), and his four great-grandchildren. Bob was born January 12, 1914 in England and immigrated to Canada with his brothers after the First World War. He settled with his widowed mother and brothers in the Tilston area and became part of a larger family when his mother married his stepfather, Herbert Judd. There he met his loving wife Muriel Irene James and they were married in 1940. Bob and Muriel farmed for five years and later owned and operated the Tilston General Store until they moved to Winnipeg in 1954. He was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor with the River East School Division until his retirement in 1979. His talent as a carpenter is evident still at the family cottage at West Hawk Lake. Dad was an avid curler but his true passion became golf. He spent many hours having great fun with his many friends on the golf courses around Manitoba. Dad was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 215 and valued many friendships that were formed there. He will be missed for his kindness, generosity and special sense of humour. The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks for the kind care shown to Dad by the staff at the Betel Home in Selkirk. A celebration of Bobs life will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB. Klassen Funeral Chapel 1897 Henderson-North of McIvor-338-0331
