ALIRE DEMERS 1914 - 2003 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Alire Demers on October 26, 2003, at St. Boniface Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jeanne of 66 years; his only daughter Florence Painchaud and husband Emile; grandchildren, Marc and Lynne (Joe). He also leaves behind one brother George (Lucille) and in-laws, Georges and Therese Dionne, Joe and Lucille Dubois, Paul and Francine Marion; many nieces, nephews and friends. Alire was predeceased by his infant son; parents, Arthur and Obeline; brothers, William, Henri, Edmond (Amanda), Ernest (Hilda), Hector (Lola) and sister Olive; brothers-in-law, Hildege, Aime Remillard (Louise) and Wilfrid Marion. Dads pride and joy was his family and many good friends. Everybody knows that Dad had a heart of gold, always the giver and never the taker. Over the last few years, at the Columbus Manor, he enjoyed many good card games with family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30 at Precieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St. Interment will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery. The family would like to thank St. Boniface Hospital with a special thank-you to the staff at 6E for their excellent care. Dad loved you all!!
