Date of Passing: Oct 27, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURETTE LEGAL (nee BECKMAN) Our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Laurette, is now at peace and has become our Guardian Angel. She left us on Monday, October 27, 2003, just two months after her 67th birthday. Her unconditional love for us shone through even while she endured many struggles with MS. Left to celebrate a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Joe; daughter Joanne and husband Kenneth, daughter Debbie and husband Leonard, daughter Donna and husband Greg. Her memory will be cherished forever by her grandchildren, Trevor, Kristin, Tyler, Richel, Rhylee and Taylor. We know her mother, Lena Beckman, her sisters, brothers, in-law, relatives and friends will miss her dearly. Laurette was born in Lampman, SK, but spent her childhood years growing up in Woodridge, MB. In 1952 the family re-located to Winnipeg where she was employed at Wilsons Stationary. Laurette and Joe married in June of 1954 and settled in East Kildonan. Their home was her pride and joy and all were genuinely welcomed. The aroma of her freshly baked bread, pies and cakes filled the air and there was always a sewing, quilting or decorating project in the works. She made everyone feel special and touched many hearts with her generosity, kindness and grace. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Following the service, friends and family are invited to a luncheon in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4th floor - 141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3. We are so grateful to have had you as our Mom. Love Joanne, Debbie and Donna. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
