Besides her husband, Cecile leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Nicole (Ed) a son Daniel (Michelle) and her grandson Aaron Joseph. Cecile was born October 18, 1932, to Pacifique and Anna Courcelles in Ste. Agathe, MB. She married Hector in 1957 and raised her family in Ste. Agathe and Winnipeg. An accomplished teacher, Cecile taught junior high classes in the Red River and St. Boniface School Divisions. She loved French and history and had a passion for her francophone roots, having co-written a book on the role of French speaking women in pre-war Manitoban society. She also penned a prize winning genealogical guide and history of the Bahuaud family. But it was her Catholic faith that sustained her. Cecile was a prayerful and progressive woman, and she devoted much of her time to La ligue feminine catholique, advocating a stronger role for women and the laity in the Church.
