DOREEN (TERRY) HESTER CLEFSTAD (nee TERRAS) Terry passed away peacefully in her sleep at Maple Ridge Hospital on October 26, 2003. She will be sorrowfully missed by Rich, her loving husband and companion of 56 years. Terry is survived by daughter Judy (Nygren) and sons, Jim and Lloyd. Also wishing her peace are her grandchildren, Chris Brumwell, Stacey Chow, Carly Frandsen and Chad Clefstad; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Madison, Nathan and Nolan, and in-laws, Lori Clefstad and Steve Nygren. Terry was born on May 9, 1923 in Winnipeg, where she grew up youngest of three sisters. There, she married Rich in August 1947. As newlyweds they moved to Vancouver to begin their new lives together. In 1960, they moved to Maple Ridge to raise their young family. Terry worked for many years as the secretary at Maple Ridge Elementary School. She was also a very creative person and a fine artist. She lived for her family and friends and was best known for her sincere, quick smile; strength of character and giving nature. A memorial service will be held in her honour on Thursday, October 30 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 21299 River Rd., Maple Ridge, BC (crn River Rd. and Laity St.).
