ROBERT HUTSELL Robert died suddenly at his home in Victoria, BC, on October 2, 2003. Predeceased by his loving wife Frances, who he married in 1938; and his younger brother Ronald. He is survived by his only niece Linda Hutsell-Manning, her husband James and their three children, David, Laura and Bruce. Bob was born in Columbia City, IN, in 1906 and moved with his family to Winnipeg in 1912, where he attended school. He worked first, for his uncle, at the Winnipeg Separator Company and then, for the rest of his working life, at the Canadian Institute for the Blind. He was a veteran of the Second World War who saw active service in both Europe and North Africa and was awarded several campaign medals. He retired to Victoria in the early 70s. Bob was a hard working CNIB volunteer, both in Winnipeg and Victoria, until his own sight deteriorated. He was a dear uncle who will be greatly missed.
