EVELYN PETERS 1920 - 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sister, auntie and friend "Ev" Peters on Monday, October 27, 2003. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sister, Helen Wanag; niece, Peggy (Ralph) Smolinski; their daughters, Donna (Nathan) Mandziuk, Tammy (Robert) Belanger and niece Patti (Eugene) Kenny and their daughters Emily and Marielle. Auntie was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Emily and her brother Ralph. Auntie devoted her working life to the family dairy farm in Libau until her retirement in 1982. She moved to Selkirk where she pursued the sports she loved: curling, golfing and bowling, with which she made many long-lasting friendships. She was an active member of the Selkirk Golf and Country Club, the Selkirk Curling Club, the Selkirk Bowling League. Evelyn was a strong and independent person with a warm and gentle heart. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31 at 1:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 6008 Hwy 9A, Selkirk, with Pastor David Saude officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Donna and Nathan Mandziuk, Tammy and Robert Belanger, Emily and Marielle Kenny. Donations may be made in Evs memory to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 448, Selkirk, MB R1A 2B3, or a charity of choice.
