ROBERT RUSSELL CRINGAN Robert "Bob" Russell Cringan, born on April 7, 1915 in Winnipeg, passed away at the George Boyak Care Centre on October 28, 2003 at the age of 88. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Cheryl Wong; son-in-law Charles; granddaughters, Kylah and Kristie of Calgary; his brother Leslie (Lillian) Cringan of Murrieta, California; his sister-in-law Blanche Hay of Kimberley, BC and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife Irene; sister Dorothy Ramsey and grandson Jayden Wong. He will be remembered for adoring his family and small children. Bob was an independent man. He was proud of being a hard worker in whatever he did. He lived through many changes in companies as a sales representative for the grain bin and tank business. On retirement from Westeel Roscoe, Bob went to work for Carlson Sandblasting in Winnipeg. In 1988, he moved to Calgary to be closer to his new grandchild and worked, again, with Westeel Roscoe. Unfortunately, dementia ended his working days. Even with dementia, Bob kept his keen interest in Second World War aircraft, which he had worked on in the war. He also could tell, with a smile, when someone was "pulling his leg". Through his life, Bob was athletic and enjoyed boxing, diving, skiing and golf. He was involved with Demolay as a young man and later, with Demolay Alumni and the Windsor Masonic Lodge No. 138. The family wishes to thank Dr. Eliason and all the caregivers at Glenmore Park, Signal Pointe and George Boyak Care Centres for the special care shown to Bob. A special thanks to Cindy Randall for her loving companion care. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to any charity for children or seniors. It was Bobs wish to be buried with his wife in Winnipeg. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1 at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3 at St. Vital Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB. A memorial get together in Calgary will be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to: PIERSONS FUNERAL SERVICES LTD. Telephone: (403) 235-3602. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
