CHRISTIAN HANS KOHLI It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Christian Kohli, a husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away on Tuesday morning, October 28, 2003, at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 64. He will be remembered by his wife Hildegard of 40 years; son Perry; daughter-in-law Darlene; grandchildren, Matthew and Sean; brother Hubert; sister-in-law Hanni; niece Maureen; family in Germany; and many close friends. Christian was born in Urlichshalben, Germany on October 24, 1939 as the youngest of four children. In June of 1957 at the age of 17 he immigrated to Canada to join his brother Hubert. In 1963 he married Hildegard Bela and started their family in Winnipeg. Christian made his living in the citys steel and construction industry. His interests included sporting activities especially golf and curling. He was an active member of the Fort Gary Curling Club. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 3 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. Our family extends our deepest thanks to the nurses and doctors of St. Boniface Hospital Cancer Care, and Riverview Health Centre, for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christians memory to the Riverview Health Centre. May you rest in peace Christian, you will never be forgotten.
