FRANK NOKES After a long battle with Parkinsons Frank Hepburn Nokes passed away at the Misericordia Health Centre October 23, 2003. Frank was born on August 25, 1929 and raised and educated in Winnipeg. He attended Robert H. Smith School, Kelvin High School, and United College. Frank will be mourned by his wife, Helen; and his children, David and Frances Nokes, Jennifer and Kevin OBrien; and his granddaughter, Vanessa OBrien. He also leaves to mourn his relatives in Picton, ON and Australia; and his in-laws, Norman and Linda Weitzel, Shirley Bouchard, Erny Grant; and their families. Frank was a caring husband and a loving father. He was a versatile man, and focused on more than one occupation during his working life. His main career was in advertising and public relations. He eventually managed his own desk top publishing, advertising and public relations company, "Franklin Communications". Throughout his life, Frank enjoyed nature and outdoor sports. He was also an inveterate walker, and a fine photographer. He played the trumpet when he was young and his love of music never left him. In his retirement he founded a seniors computer club for Mac users. Frank will be remembered by many for his enthusiasm, sense of humour, and individuality. A private burial and service have taken place. Our gratitude to the staff of the Misericordia Health Centre, Cornish 2 for their loving care and compassion.
