ALBERT ANTOINE PAQUETTE Peacefully at the St. Boniface General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Albert passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at the age of 85. One of 11 children, he was born in St. Malo, MB, June 28, 1918 to Felix Paquette and Annie Lecuyer. He was predeceased in December of 2002 by Ida, his loving wife of 62 years, by his parents, five brothers and three sisters. He leaves to mourn his eight children, Lillian (Denys) Prudhomme, Fernande (Donald) Toupin, Therese (Gabriel) Toupin, Robert (Adrienne) Paquette, Adrienne (Roy) Bonin, Albert, Marie-Paule, Marie-Rose (Nick) Delamater; eight grandchildren, Eymond (Penny), Lydie (Keith), Remi (Nicole), Estelle (Cory), Guy (Carrie), Genevieve (Patrick), Stephane, and Camille; four great-grandchildren, Larissa, Josee, Natacha, and Jakob; sisters, Ida Lemoine and Beatrice Charkewich; sisters-in-law, Rita Plamondon, Aline (Robert) Frocklage, Aurore (Robert) Anderson, Corinne (Robert) Tardiff, Madeleine (Robert) Berry; brother-in-law Aime Robert; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. After serving his country in the Second World War, he was a loyal employee of Dominion Malting for 33 years while also working his farm until 1960. He will be remembered as a model husband, father, and grandfather who inspired us with his unique sense of humour, his ingenuity, love of nature and selfless hospitality to all who crossed his threshold. As a tireless provider, he ensured his familys future. He found pleasure in nurturing his trees, maintaining both city and country properties, seeking out antiques and undertaking building and renovation projects. Dear Dad, we pray that you and Mother will continue to watch over us. The family extends its sincere thanks to the Home Care providers, the doctors, and the medical and pastoral staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Fr. Paul Campeau will celebrate mass in honour of Alberts life on Saturday, November 1 at 10:00 at the St. Boniface Cathedral. Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. The service will terminate at the church. Family and friends are invited to a reception in the parish hall. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
