STELLA HARASYM It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother Stella Harasym, on October 30, 2003 at St. Josephs Residence in Winnipeg at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased bgly remembered by her two sons, James and Gerald (Valery her beloved husband John; parents Anna and Adam Romanovich; sisters Caroline Mospanchuk, Marie Buckingham and Jean Loreth. She will be sadly missed and lovinie) grandchildren James Jr. and Andrew, her brother Joseph (Nellie) Romanovich and sister Olga (Derraugh) Hunter and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Ledwyn, MB. Mom moved to the family farm in 1934 where they farmed until 1977, then she moved into the town of Arborg. She enjoyed her independence at her trailer for 25 years where she enjoyed gardening until the last year. She was caring and always made sure you left her place with a sample of her cooking or vegetables from her garden. She kept herself busy knitting or crocheting and loved doing puzzles. Prayers will be said on Monday, November 3, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ardal Street, Arborg, MB with Reverend Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment to follow at Okno Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandson James Jr. and Andrew Harasym, Lorne Harasym, Larry Loreth, Robert Harasym and Mitch Mitchell. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Charleswood Care Centre and St. Josephs Residence for the care given to mom. Flowers gratefully declined.
