PAIGE HOPE MARIE MACKEIL-SIDORCHUK September 28, 2001 - October 30, 2003 In the arms of her Mommy, Daddy, and her fellow angels, Paige returned home to God in a blissful state of peace on Thursday, October 30 from the Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit at Health Sciences Centre. Left here in grateful thanks for the indescribable joy she granted us and searing pain from her departure are her parents, Tara MacKeil and Ryan Sidorchuk; grandparents, Richard and Doreen Sidorchuk (Nana and Papa), Ivan and Connie MacKeil (Gramma and Grampa) "Unkie" Shane MacKeil (Vanessa) Auntie Stacey Sidorchuk (Joey) and cousins, Sarina and Julia; great-grandparents, Freda Sidorchuk, Minnie "Granny" Lavallee, Vivian and Harry Wolstenholme and Edith Josey; as well as numerous great aunts and uncles; Godfather Wade Moffat and Godmother Heather Roach and the extensive number of friends of both Tara and Ryan upon whom Paige had an immediate and forever lasting impression, especially Dr. Bhupinder Bedi and family. Born September 28, 2001 Paige immediately began to teach the people in her life the meaning of True Love, especially her father. While it has often been noted that girls naturally gravitate toward their fathers, the bond shared between Paige and her Daddy was one of supernatural strength. Before she could speak they both knew what the other was thinking, and her incredible character and intelligence equipped her with a vocabulary that was the envy of parents of children twice her age, even if her favourite word was the infamously monosyllabic "NO"! An exceptionally expressive, inquisitive, fun-loving and especially resilient child, Paige granted so much unadulterated joy to her Mommy and Daddy and all the other lives she touched, that to be bitter about our loss of her would be a travesty against the memory of who she was. Instead, we again gratefully thank God for providing us with the gift that she truly was. We would also like to once again thank all the people who attended the social in Paiges honour. The family would also like to acknowledge with overwhelming gratitude the staff of Childrens Hospital, in particular the Pediatric Oncology Department, and especially the indescribably gifted and compassionate doctors and nurses of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. We witnessed the power of who Paige was and how she touched you all, and words cannot ever adequately express our thanks for the care and support you provided to both Paige and her family. May God Bless You All. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paige will be gratefully accepted at either the Winnipeg Humane Society (Paige was a great lover of animals, especially "dawgs") or Cancer Care Manitoba, Pediatric Oncology Research Division. Mommys pretty little girl Daddys little Ojo, la la, Mila Thank you for the memories. We look forward to seeing you again to play in the park and have a "Murpee" when our time comes. Forever loving you, and never quite the same again without you. Mommy and Daddy. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
