Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTOM McCORRISTER December 29, 1935- October 31, 2003 It is with deep sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, on Friday, October 31, 2003, on the Peguis reserve, at the age of 67 years. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty; daughters, Lynn (Doug) and Lee Ann (Walter) his precious grandchildren, Philip, Jarred, Jodyne, Derek and Tristan; his sisters, Mary Bird, Kathy (Isaac) Cochrane, Florence (Ernie) Stranger and Hazel (Max) Garson; his brothers, Edwin, Johnny (Anna), Carl and Dennis; sisters-in-law, Elva and Shirley; In-laws, Alice (Ben) Hudson, Josephine Slater, Dennis (Linda) Daniels, Nancy Harper of Winnipeg, Carl (Olive) Asham, Leslie (Geraldine) Daniels, Reta Prince of Peguis and Audrey Finnbogason of Gimli. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude and Mac; brothers, Oswald, Vernon, Bill and Conrad; in-laws, Marion, Carl Bird, Fred Finnbogason, Maurice Slater and George Prince; niece Lisa McCorrister; nephews, Jeff, Bradley and Warren Hudson, Willy and Keith McCorrister. Dad attended school in Peguis. He left home at an early age, cutting wood in Pine Falls. Dad also worked in Winnipeg, prior to moving home to Peguis, where he spent many years farming. He also liked his hunting and trapping days. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed coaching the Braves baseball team. Dad had a great love for music and especially enjoyed playing his harmonica and accordion to family and friends. Special thanks to the Peguis Chief and Council, Peguis Health Centre, R.C.M.P., Percy E. Moore Hospital, Cheryl Sinclair, and the family would like to thank Sharon Hudson for her time supporting the family. A gathering will be held at Lee Ann and Walter Hudsons residence on Monday evening, November 5. Wake service will be held on Tuesday, November 4 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church, Peguis, MB, with Rev. Wesley Barrett and Rev. Barry Bear officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Matthews Anglican Church Cemetery.
