DENISE MARIE VINCENT (WILCOTT) Peacefully, with her husband and family at her side, Denise Vincent passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the age of 94. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Philippe Vincent; her children, Adrien (Joanne) Vincent, Rose (Victor) Vincent, Marguerite St Godard, Aline (Gordon) Eisener, Henry Vincent, Therese (Ed) Van Humbeck, Odile (Gilles) Dube; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Imelda Dupont and Bernadette St Croix. Denise was predeceased by her first husband Felix; her parents, Marie-Rose (Ranger) and Joseph Wilcott; five brothers and five sisters. Denise was born April 7, 1909 in Cantal, SK. At the age of 13, she moved to St - Georges with her family. In 1927, Denise married Felix Vincent. She devoted her life to the care and upbringing of her seven children. Being healthy and robust, Denise enjoyed the challenge of operating the farm with her husband and son Henry. One of her favourite sayings was, "as long as you are healthy, work is fun". Denise was known for her warm hospitality and generosity to family and friends. After being widowed, Denise married Philippe in 1969. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Philippe for his love, care and devotion to our mother. Our gratitude is also extended to Henry and Rose who helped Philippe to care for our mother at home until July 2002. We also wish to thank all the staff at Foyer Valade who lovingly cared for our mother during the last year of her life. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4 at St. Georges Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Rejean Belanger officiating. This will be followed by lunch in the church hall. Public viewing and prayers will be at 10:30 prior to the service. If so desired, donations may be made in her memory toward equipment for the 3rd floor at Foyer Valade, 450 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 5M4, or to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in care of Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB. Elle laisse dans le deuil son epoux bien-aime Philippe; ses enfants, Adrien (Joanne) Vincent, Rose (Victor) Vincent, Marguerite St.Godard, Aline (Gordon) Eisener, Henri Vincent, Therese (Ed) VanHumbeck, Odile (Gilles) Dube; 13 petits enfants, 15 arriere-petits-enfants et deux arriere-arriere-petits-enfants, deux soeurs Imelda Dupont et Bernadette St.Croix. Lont precedee dans la mort son premier epoux Felix, ses parents, Marie-Rose (Ranger) et Joseph Wilcott, cinq freres et cinq soeurs. Denise est nee le 7 avril 1009, a Cantal, SK. Sa famille demenage dans la region de St-Georges lorsquelle avait treize ans. En 1927, Denise epouse Felix Vincent. Ensemble ils elevent chretiennement leur famille et travaillent sur la ferme. De sante robuste, elle considerait sa tache un defi qui lui etait agreable. Plus tard elle continue a aider Henri a gerer la ferme. Denise etait reconnue pour son accueil chaleureux, sa generosite et son devouement a sa famille. Veuve depuis quatre ans, Denise epouse Philippe Vincent en 1969. La famille desire le remercier specialement pour son affection et son devouement envers notre maman. Aussi, nous exprimons notre gratitude a Rose et Henri qui avec Philippe ont prodigue de bons soins a maman jusquen juillet 1902 a Saint- Georges. La famille est tres reconnaissante des soins accordes par le personnel du Foyer Valade depuis ce temps. Ceux qui le desirent peuvent faire un don au Foyer Valade (pour equipement au 3ieme etage) ou autre charite de leur choix. La messe des funerailles aura lieu a leglise de Saint-Georges le mardi 4 novembre 2003 a 11h00. Elle sera presidee par monsieur labbe Rejean Belanger. Le visionnement et prieres auront lieu a 10h30. Linhumation sera au cimetiere de Saint-Georges.
