RONALD ALLAN TURNER (CHUBBY) July 19, 1953 - October 31, 2003 We regret to announce the peaceful passing of our father, brother, uncle and friend, Ronald Allan Turner, better known as "Chubby" on October 31, 2003. "Chubby" leaves to mourn his precious little girl Krystal Lilly Ashem, his sisters, Laura, Geraldine (Joe) and Charlotte (Russell) sister-in-law Karen Turner. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and good friends. He will be sadly missed by all. "Chubby" was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Tamar Turner and his brother Esau Turner. Chubby led an alcohol free lifestyle for the last nine years. Within this time, he accomplished many personal goals. He graduated from a Parenting Skills Program on August 14, 2001. His greatest joy was raising his little girl Krystal, with the help of nieces Elaine and Sherry. Prior to his passing he was employed with the Grand Rapids Health Authority as a medical driver. He enjoyed volunteering at bingo and playing the VLTs and just visiting with his friends. Chubby was a strong, happy and proud man. He will be sadly missed by the community and his many friends. Wake services will be held on Tuesday, November 4 and Wednesdayr, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. both evenings. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at the Peter Memorial Cente, Grand Rapids, MB with Rev. Highway officiating.
