NICK CHODACHEK December 20, 1918- November 8, 2003 It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brother, brother-in-law, and Uncle Nick, on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at the Misericordia Health Centre, at the age of 84. Nick was born and raised in Hadashville, MB and spent most of his youth in Ile Des Chenes. Moving to Monominto in the early 50s, Nick took up his life long passion of farming. He loved the great outdoors, picking saskatoons, visiting with neighbours, and his long walks through his fields. After suffering a stroke in 1996, Nick moved to Lions Manor where he spend seven happy years with lots of new neighbours to visit. Left to mourn his passing is his loving sister Mabel Decock (Ralph) his brothers, Sam (Mary), Andy; and brother-in-law Louis. He will be forever remembered as a kind and gentle man by his numerous nieces and nephews, especially John and Evelyn who Nick dearly thanks for his outings every Sunday. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Wasyle; sisters, Anne and Nettie; and brothers, John, Mike and Peter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki, Doreen and George. The family would like to thank the staff at Lions Manor, HSC Rehab, and the Misericordia Health Centre for the loving care shown to Nick. Also a thank you to Dr. Dillion and his nurse Joan from the Klinic. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel.
