PETER CHMIL Surrounded by the love of his family, Peter was given the gift of passing away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2003, at the age of 66 years. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Elsie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years Janice; son Shawn; daughter Shannon (Lorenzo) and grandson Luca, Grandpas Handsome One. Peter will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Peter was born in Fisher Branch on November 6, 1936. He left home at an early age with courage and great expectation of himself in building a future. First working labouriously in pulp and later the mining industry, arriving in Winnipeg in 1963 to work for Mulder Construction for 39 years until his retirement as Field Superintendent in December, 2002. Peter enjoyed camping, fishing and billiards, along with 24 years of curling with the Nicolett Curling Club. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. J. Johnston and staff of CancerCare and Drs. Maxwell and Jeyakumar and staff of Victoria Hospital Oncology. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Peters memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with interment to follow. Always remembered, always cherished.
