Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFAY KORLENCHUK (nee CHRISTIUK) Peacefully, in her sleep on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 Fay Korlenchuk passed away at the age of 71 at Poseidon Care Centre, which had been her home for the last three years. Fay was born in Ukraine on August 4, 1932 and moved with her family to Canada in 1938. She went to school in Bowsman, Dufrost and Winnipeg, and married Johnny Korlenchuk in 1957. Fay was employed in Trades and Technology at Red River College for over 30 years and retired in 1993. Fay will be lovingly remembered for her exceptional sewing, craft and cooking skills, and often created gifts for her nieces and nephews. She was also fond of writing letters to relatives overseas and researching her family tree. Fay is survived by her husband Johnny; sister Tillie Bohdan; brother Krist (Effie) brother Roman (Ann) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Elia (1968) and Feuronia (1996) brothers Sergi (1964) and Alex (1976). Our family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Poseidon Care Home for all their help during these difficult times, and for taking care of Fay during her illness. A private family funeral will be held on Friday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow. Interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
