Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (WALTER) BILOW 1931 - 2003 Peacefully on November 5, 2003 Michael Bilow passed away at St. Josephs Residence. Walter was the youngest born to Gregory and Dora Bilocerkowich. He is survived by two sisters, Elsie (Mike) Pitura and Anne Pitura as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He attended St. Nicholas Catholic School and later graduated from Isaac Newton High School. He started with the City of Winnipeg as a mail clerk in June of 1949. After 43 years of dedicated service, he retired in 1991 as City Treasurer. In 1953, Walter married Elise Nakoneshny. They were blessed with four wonderful daughters Barbara (Glen MacInnes) with children, Robert and Daniel; Joan (Rick Budowski) Steven and Adam; Christine (Michael Osborne) Mark and Paul; Marjorie (Randy Zulkoski) Peter, Katie and Caroline. Wally was finance chairman of the Seven Oaks Hospital Board for 13 years. He was a long-standing member of Elmhurst Golf and Country Club and served as Treasurer there for 9 years. His hobbies included barbershop singing, golf and curling. He was a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing the piano, guitar and banjo. Wally loved all sports especially football. He was an official with Manitoba Minor Football and also served as timekeeper for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for 16 years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his wife, daughters and grand-children. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Josephs Residence for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. Private burial to follow. If friends so desire, a donation may be made in Wallys memory towards Parkinsons Society of Canada or a charity of ones choice. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
