Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryESTELLE AGNES IMPEY (nee PICARD) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Estelle passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at age 72. Estelle will be joyfully welcomed by her husband Donald; her parents, Albert and Emilia Picard; her sister Doris Fry; and four brothers who died in childhood. She will be very sadly missed by her children, Dennis and Linda Impey, Patrice Impey and David Neiman, Jacqueline and Robert Pyrz, Deanne Impey and Richard Dzisiak; and her 11 grandchildren who were so precious to her, Daniel, Emily, Sarah, Madeleine, Amanda, Olivia, Katherine, Alexander, Abigail, Ruby and Peter. She will be held dearly in the hearts of her four sisters and their families, Lynn and Ken Winter, Angela and Wes Packham, Elmire Picard, and Muriel Hanson; and her two brothers and their families, Bert and Rene Picard, and Normand and Linda Picard. Estelle was born in Fortier, MB on March 20, 1931. She grew up on the family farm and later moved to Winnipeg where she met Donald George Impey. They married on June 19, 1954 and settled in East Kildonan to raise their four children. Estelle enjoyed her work at the Manitoba Museum preparing French programs and education programs for children. She was a talented seamstress and creative decorator. After retirement Don and Estelle enjoyed travelling together and having more time to spend with family and friends. Estelle was an active member of St. Alphonsus Parish and the Catholic Womens League. She was a dedicated volunteer throughout her life with her church, the museum, and with seniors. Estelle became an avid golfer in her retirement years and took up curling at the age of 71. Estelles life was filled with family and friends. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her family over "Grammas Sunday" dinners, her annual New Years Day dinner and many other occasions. She was a thoughtful, giving person who shared her life with many dear friends. Prayers will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons on Sunday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 300 Donalda Ave. followed by a reception at the parish hall. A private interment with the family will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Estelles name to LArche Winnipeg, 2nd Floor, 109 Bond St., Winnipeg, MB R2C 2L1.
