STELLA KOWALSKY (KARANDIUK) 1923 - 2003 On Wednesday, November 5, 2003, our elegant and dear-hearted "Aunty Stella" felt the tug of Uncle Harrys hand, and the whisper of Gods call and passed from us at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB. Aunty Stella was predeceased by her father Fred, mother Mary and Harry beloved husband of 56 years. Her memory is forever cherished by sister Anne; brother Clarence; nieces and nephews, Myrna, Betty, Christine, Paul, Gregory, and Gloria; great-nieces and nephews, Jason, Jonathon, Dawn, Billy, Dennis, and Kristen; great-great-nephews, Andrew and Austin, and a veritable host of "through-marriage" nieces and nephews who bid her a fond and loving adieu. Aunty Stella was born and raised in East Selkirk, MB. She left home and began nurses training, but found her niche instead in the business world of The Bay and Eatons. She was a dedicated wife and spent her married life devoted to her husband. Together they experienced many trips to all parts of the world. When Uncle Harry became ill she tended to him like a private duty nurse even when her own health began to fail. If you didnt know she liked to knit....you should have taken a closer look at her husbands perpetual argyle socks and his Mary Maxim sweaters. If you didnt know she loved flowers and gardening...you simply missed the beauty and fragrance in her Sandy Hook flower garden and her "apartment balcony garden". If you ever had the opportunity to meet "Aunty Stella".. You could say you met a mighty fine lady. May your garden grow as you rest Aunty Stella... Love from All of Us. Your nephew Timmy.
