ROBERT (PAPA) MacDONALD Peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2003 Robert Fraser MacDonald passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 92 years. Robbie was born in Elgin, Scotland on December 26, 1910. He came to Canada in 1913 and lived all his life in East Kildonan. He was active in Prince Edward Legion for many years. He retired from River East School Division No. 9 in June of 1975. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Winnifred MacDonald (nee Simpson). They were married on June 13, 1942 in Winnipeg. Also his precious daughters, Kathleen Judith Geddie and Barbara Elice Booth; Robbies parents, Rubina and William Fraser MacDonald; brothers, Davey, Jimmy, and Jocko; sisters, Cathleen Medlicott, Alice Dyck, and Ruby Smith; son-in-law Tillman Ray Eastwood and many other relatives and friends. His daughter Margaret Helen Eastwood; sister Lillian Des Rosiers; sons-in-law, Robert Booth and Albert Geddie survive Robbie. Also he is survived by nine grandchildren, William (Kerri), Edward (Christi), Daniel Eastwood, Kathleen and Ronald Booth, Robbie, Charolette (Michael), Henry, and Billy Geddie; four great-grandsons, Thomas, Andrew, Tyler, and Dwight; four great-granddaughters, Kathleen, Sunny, Kaleigh and Madison. Many relatives and friends, many of whom dropped into his home where the coffee pot was always on, will also miss Robbie. The family wishes to thank Dr. Welch, hospital staff and home care personnel. A service celebrating Robbies life will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. in Klassen Funeral Chapel. For those who wish, viewing will be held on Friday, also at Klassens, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service. Cremation will follow Saturdays service.
