Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLA EMMA HILDEBRAND 1931 - 2003 On Friday November 7, 2003, at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, Ella Hildebrand (nee Staple), age 72, of Morden, went to her eternal rest. Ella was born at home in the Alexandria District on May 6, 1931. After she received her schooling, she worked in the Royal Bank until her marriage to Fred on September 13, 1952. Ella and Fred settled on a farm in the 1-6 District. Ella was an avid gardener and took great pride in her many flowers. She enjoyed sewing, needlework and baking - especially "Grandma Buns". Ella was an active member of the Association of Community Living since 1964. She contributed many hours to organizing and running fundraising activities for ACL. Ella was also a long time member of St. Pauls United Church UCW. Ella and Fred spent many weekends dancing and became members of the North Dakota Chapter of the Polka Lovers of America, forming many new friendships. Since 1991 Ella required dialysis three days a week, the staff and fellow patients of the dialysis unit became a second family to her. Ella and her family appreciated the special care and understanding she received. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Fred; son Brian and Norma Hildebrand of the 1-6 District, and children Kristen and fiance Jay, Matthew; two daughters, Rhonda Hildebrand of Morden, Sandra Hildebrand and Bob of Winnipeg, and children Suzanne, Emma; sister Marion and Jack Duggan; brother Wayne and Margaret Staple; sister-in-law Sharon (Ken) Moore; and their families. She was predeceased by brother Ken Staple. Viewing will be held Sunday and Monday from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St., Morden. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls United Church, 353 Thornhill St., Morden, Rev. Doug Craig officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Cemetery, Morden. Donations may be made in Ellas memory to the Morden Association for Community Living or to Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation, Dialysis Unit.
