DARLENE MARCHAK Darlene Marchak was born October 25, 1953 in Teulon, MB, the youngest of 11 children, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 in South Surrey, BC, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Darlene is survived by her very large and loving family of four sisters, Helen (Albert) Fegol, Winnipeg, MB, Jeanette (Richard) Huggins, Winnipeg, MB, Irene (Gordon) Zazulinski, Fraserwood, MB, Sharon (Dave) Starr, White Rock, BC; four brothers, Andy (Liz), Narcisse, MB, Bert (Hugette), Longlac, ON, Leslie (Lydia), Narcisse, MB and Tony (Marilyn), Winnipeg, MB; brother-in-law Bill Humphreys, Surrey, BC, numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and cats, Missy and Freddy. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Frances; sisters, Lorraine and Betty Humphreys; nephew Sheldon Humphreys and cat Squeaks. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Teulon. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, Darlene expressed that donations should be made to a shelter for abused and battered women of your choice.
