MARJORIE LOW Peacefully, on Thursday, November 6, 2003, Marjorie Low passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 87 years. Marjorie is survived by her brother Jack (Irma) sister Jessie Miller (Glen) as well as numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Maggie Low; sister Raye Kerslake; brother-in-law Harry Kerslake and sister-in-law Irene Low. She was born on September 10, 1916 in Winnipeg and resided in the city all her life. The majority of her career was spent with the Provincial Department of Justice from which she retired in 1981. Marjorie was fiercely independent and enjoyed travelling throughout Canada and Europe. She was an avid reader, card player, magazine subscriber and letter writer. Marjorie loved to walk and in her latter years, when she was no longer able, identified it as the one thing she truly missed. She loved to keep an account of the local weather and its history was always at her fingertips. As much as she loved her independence, Marjorie cherished the time she spent with her family and their children. She loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of others. A private family funeral service for Marjorie will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks All Beliefs & Faiths Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue at Sharp Blvd. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Marjories memory may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, Room ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
