JEAN-EMILE VILLENEUVE Peacefully, with his wife and family by his side, Jean-Emile Villeneuve passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home on Friday, November 7, 2003, at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Philias and Marie-Louise and his brothers, Paul and Phillip. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 64 years, Madeleine (nee Carignan) his sons, Paul (Linda) of Surrey, BC, Marcel (Marianne) of Oakville, ON, and George (Lillian) of White Rock, BC; his daughters, Marie-Jeanne Buccini (Ivano) and Renee Harsant (Ernie) of Winnipeg. He will also be remembered by his ten grandchildren and his sister Juliette in B.C. Jean also had three great-grandchildren in B.C. whom he never had the pleasure of meeting. Many nieces and nephews are also left to mourn his passing. Jean was born in Winnipeg on January 18, 1913. He was educated at Ecole du Sacre-Coeur and Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate. Jean-Emile worked as a food broker from the age of 17 until his 75th year. Jean enjoyed gardening, painting, and listening to music in his spare time. He enjoyed summers with his family at the cottage in Whytewold Beach. He was a generous and caring man who always thought of others who were less fortunate. Jean was a deeply religious man who was devoted to God. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12 at the Assiniboia Christian Centre, 3390 Portage Ave. Mgr. Maurice Comeault will officiate. A heartfelt thanks is extended to the caring staff at the Maples Personal Care Home who daily cared for Dad during the past two years. Your kindness and compassion are greatly appreciated.
