Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE STEWART WILLIS (CALDERWOOD) On November 8, 2003 our dearly beloved mother and grandmother passed away quietly in her sleep at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall, at the age of 88 years, after years of declining health. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Jack (Cheryl), Lisa and Jeff, Geri and Cory; George (Val), Lee, Chad, Brett and Myles, all of Stonewall or Winnipeg; Linda (Keith) Hemingson, David, Laura, and Clayton of Melfort, SK; sisters and brother-in-law, Velma and Charles Slater, Nell Drake and Nelda Willis; also nieces, nephews and cousins of both the Willis and Calderwood families. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Catherine Calderwood; husband David in January 2000; her brother and wife Andrew (Bev) Calderwood; her sisters and husbands, Lilian (Ewart) Good, Mary (Ed) Good, and Olive (Alton) Peterson; and nephews Bryan Good and James Good; also sisters and brothers-in-law, Maurice Willis, Jane (Oliver) Mollard, Bertha (Gordon) Ross, Alice (Ben Dawson), Phyllis (Lorne) MacFarland, Millie (Aldus) Preston and Stan Drake. Annie was born May 8, 1915 at Stonewall. She attended school at Centre and Stonewall, and Normal School in Winnipeg, after which she taught at Centre and Balmoral Schools. In December 1943 she married David Henry Willis and settled on the Willis family farm near Balmoral. In 1975 Annie and Dave retired to Stonewall and in 1997 they moved into Rosewood Lodge. For the latter part of her life, Annie suffered from Alzheimers disease. Annie was a member of St. Johns Brandt Anglican Church and later the Anglican Church of the Ascension in Stonewall, being also a member of the Anglican Church Womens group. She enjoyed helping with church activities, especially perogie making and the annual tea. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved to babysit and spoil them. They will all miss her dearly. There will be no formal service, cremation has taken place, with a private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall, or a charity of ones choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
