Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA ALVINA BREWSTER The family of Mrs. Maria Alvina Brewster wish to celebrate her life with family, and friends, and all who knew her. Maria passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years on Monday, November 10, 2003 at her residence, after a "bout" with pneumonia. Maria leaves to cherish her memory her nine children, 23 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Nathaniel; daughter Leonora; son Joseph; and grandson David. She was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1911 in Guyana W.I., and immigrated to Tdad S Tobago W.I., in 1929 at 18 years of age. Maria came to Winnipeg in 1978 at 67 years of age, where she made her home until her passing. During her long life, she made many friends. The "Brewster" family invite these "friends" and "well-wishers" to join "us", her family in fond remembrances, and prayers of Thanksgiving, as we help "Maria" on her journey to her new home in Christ. Blessing of her earthly remains took place on Wednesday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m., at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., with Rev. Deacon Rudy Lemaire officiating, after which cremation took place. A memorial mass in celebration of Marias life will take place on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marys Roman Catholic Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave., with Rev. Fr. Darren Gurr, presiding.
