MARY SHAFIRKA (nee DMYTRUK) 1920 - 2003 Peacefully on November 8, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Mary passed away with her family at her side. Predeceased in 1994 by her husband John; Mary is survived by her son Ron and daughter-in-law Bev. She was the proud grandmother of Kim, Heather (Brian) and Michael. Mary is survived by her brother George of Seattle; sister Ann of Carman and niece Cindy. Marys greatest love was for her family. She gave love and support without question. A highly regarded seamstress, she worked until age 70 making lasting friendships over her long career. A funeral service will be held on Thursday November 13 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Interment will follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. The family would like to thank Bill and Jean Podolak for their ongoing love and support and the staff at Seven Oaks ICU for their care and compassion.
