Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD (ED) YESKE Mr. Edward (Ed) Yeske of Kamloops passed away suddenly on November 7, 2003, at the age of 88 years. Ed was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Elsie, on October 23, 2003. Ed is survived by his son Lawrence (Darlene) of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren, Tammy of Winnipeg and Shauna (Derek) Schopohl of Stonewall, MB; daughter Laureen (Ron) Baker of Kamloops; grandchildren, Ron E. of Kamloops, Michael (Tonia) and great-granddaughter Shontel, all of Maple Ridge, and Steve of Port Coquitlam. He is also survived by his sisters, Edith Wagner and Emma VanElslander, both of Kamloops, and Winnie Meikle of Winnipeg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family. He was predeceased by brothers, Karl, Gus, Fred and Emil. Ed was born on December 5, 1914, in Fraserwood, MB. He and Elsie moved to Kamloops in 1948. He was a longtime employee of the North Kamloops municipality and then the City of Kamloops. He enjoyed a good game of crib, and suntanning from February to the end of October. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 2481 Sunset Dr., with Pastor Gordon Heselton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Should friends desire donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 203 - 635 Victoria St., Kamloops, BC V2C 2B3, in memory of Edward would be appreciated. Service arrangements entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service, telephone 374-1454.
