Elizabeth area and lived there for 51 years. She and her husband were active members of the Ste. Elizabeth Lichtenau Mennonite Church where she was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary. Over the long and difficult years on the farm they experienced the love and support of the community, of children and grandchildren and left a legacy of faith, hospitality and a strong work ethic. Grandpa and Grandmas farm was a place for the family to celebrate holidays and family get-togethers. Susannas world revolved around her family, her church, her garden and the books she was fond of reading. They left the farm in 1982 and took up residence in North Kildonan. From September 2001 to the time of her passing she made her home in Bethania Personal Care home. The family would like to express the very deepest and heartfelt appreciation for all the loving care she received during her stay in Bethania.
