Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ANGELINA KOZAK December 17, 1915- November 10, 2003 Peacefully, in her sleep, with her family by her side, Mary Angelina Kozak passed into Heaven at River East Personal Care Home on November 10, 2003 at age 87. Waiting to welcome her with open arms are husband Leonard; parents, Dominic and Mary Durado; grandson Bobby Turriff; brother Albert Durado; sisters, Alvina Early and Laura Hay; sister-in-law Kay Durado and sons-in-law, Bob Turriff and George La Riviere. She will be dearly missed and sweetly remembered by her son Leonard (Rose) daughters, Jeri La Riviere, Judy Mader and Jane Gollmer (Raymond) grandchildren, Lee and Alan La Riviere, Kim Matthew, Jennifer Kozak, Julie Kozak, Sheri Asham, Raymond Turriff, Bonnie Gollmer, Michael Gollmer, and Cathleen Thom; brother Victor Durado (Kay) sister Florence Beck (Cass) and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born December 17, 1915 and raised in her beloved Transcona, Marys greatest pleasure was her life with Leonard, her children and family. She and Dad enjoyed many good times at the Transcona Legion with good friends. Mom had a fabulous sense of humour and a strong life force, which is a legacy to her children. She was well-known as a wonderful cook and loved to feed family and friends who came in the door. In her 50s, she began a 16 year career at Dionysis Restaurant where with her wit, charm and spicy personality, she quickly became one of Winnipegs most popular servers. She loved her job, her bosses, the staff, and every customer she served. The family would like to thank the staff at River East Personal Care Home, her home for the past four years. The caring, warm, and professional staff went beyond anything the family could expect and could not have made her final years more meaningful and loving. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12 at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Following services, interment will take place at the Transcona Cemetery, where she will rest beside her beloved Loddie. Pallbearers will be Michael Gollmer, Lee La Riviere, Richard Kozak, Kerry Asham, Walter Goshulak, Anousch Matthew, and Joseph Sacco. If desired as expressions of sympathy, donations may be offered to the River East Personal Care Home Recreational Fund, 1375 Molson St., Winnipeg, MB R2K 4K8 or a charity of your choice. Rest in Peace and Happiness, Mom. TRANSCONA FUNERAL CHAPEL, in care of arrangements.
