JOHN JAMES BEARDY November 11, 2003 With deep sadness the Beardy family announces the passing of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather John Beardy at the age of 67 years. Surrounded by his family he entered into eternal rest to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in December, 1999; and his parents, Bella (1998) and Louis (1959) Beardy and his sisters, Mabel Brass (1997), Helen Sinclair (1974). Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Beverley (Jerry), Eileen (Tim) Doerksen, Dorothy (Marvin) Mielke, Pamela (John) Guiboche of Winnipeg and Geraldine of Crystal City, MB; sons, Jim (Roselyn), Alvin (Marion) and Noel, all of Lake St. Martin, Jacob (Paulette) and Kennard (Roseanne) of Winnipeg. John will also be dearly remembered by his brothers, Willie Beardy (Ruth), Gilbert Beardy (Dorothy) sisters, Martha (Angus) Richard, Maryanne (Oliver) Sumner, Lena Beardy and sisters-in-law, Bertha Sumner, Evangeline Traverse and Edith Gagen of Gypsumville, MB; brothers-in-law, Jacob Traverse, Mark Traverse and a special niece Brenda (Tom) Beardy and their family; his 24 grandchildren, Kimberley Olenick, Gerald (Crystal), Rhonda Valiquette, Rueben, Ardele, Wayne (Miranda), Denise, Keith, Jennifer (Mark) Tavares, Heather Traverse, Melissa Sinclair, Nicole Sinclair, Summer Doerksen, Maryanne, Sunshine, Skye, Desmond, Isaiah, Rachel, Kendall, Garret, Johnathan, Jessica and Javian and 15 great-grandchildren. Wake service will be held at First Nations Community Church, 44 Tentler St. off Notre Dame Ave. on Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. also at First Nations Community Church. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Trans Canada Hwy. # 1, East at Navin Road. Pallbearers will be his sons, Jacob, Jim, Alvin, Noel, Kennard, and nephew Tom Beardy. Special thanks to Pastor Dan and Marge Murdock and to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital ICU.
