ALICE MAY HOUGH (nee COWAN) Peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, Alice May Hough, aged 96 years, passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home. Alice is survived by her sister Margaret Peters, numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband John Armitage, second husband Malcolm Hough, two brothers and one sister. Alice will be remembered for her great sense of humour and her feisty attitude. Three passions in her life included animals, reading and eating chocolate. She loved African Violets and was a member of the African Violets Association. Travelling extensively in Europe and Australia, she lived in Australia for 34 years where among other jobs, she was employed with the Marston Campbell Foam Rubber Co. Returning to Winnipeg in 1968 to be with her father, Alice then worked at the Winnipeg Clinic for a number of years. She was quite proud of her first job as a proof reader with O.B.U. Union. If there were more people like Alice, Eatons would still be in business, as she was an avid Eatons shopper. A private service will take place. Special thanks to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home 2W for their patience and wonderful care. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardalfuneralhome.com
