HENRY PISCHKE Peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre after an amazing 90 years, Henry has been called home to his Lord. Henry leaves to mourn his children, Colleen and Garth, their special spouses, Robert and Cindy and cherished grandchildren, Christina, Dane and Taylor. Henry also leaves brothers, Willie (Marge), Clarence (Gail), Harvey (Eileen) and sisters, Martha, Elsie and Lily, numerous other family members and friends. Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife Bertha; parents Rudolph and Caroline; sisters, Wanda, Mary and Edith and brother Albert. Henry was born May 2, 1913 in Beausejour, MB and grew up in Whitemouth. Once Bertha finally agreed to marry him they resided in Winnipeg where he worked for Commonwealth Construction and later Nelson River Construction. Together they lived a diverse and colourful life which included a variety of sports, dancing, cottage life at Grand Beach, the church and volunteer work for community clubs. Watching his children and grandchildren in any endeavour was his major joy. He rarely missed an event and everyone knew Henry was there. Refs and officials beware. Henry has passed on a loving and caring legacy to his family that will continue on throughout the generations. Dads faith in God never wavered and kept him strong until his last days. Henry was extremely well known for "getting the party started." A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Henrys memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1 THOMSON Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway - 783-7211
