LEONTINE RIOUX Very peacefully, with her children by her side, Leontine Rioux passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2003. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Arthur; her children, Simone Driscoll, Solange (Hank) Pastuszak, Philippe (Lyse), Helene Hayes, Maurice (Kelly), Marcel (Marlene) and Raymond (Pauline). She leaves her brothers, Bernard (Helene) and Alphonse (Annette) Trudeau; and sisters, Marie-Jeanne and Sister Alice; as well as in-laws, Leopoldine and Therese Rioux, Albert Laramee, Antonia and Emma Trudeau. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Alexina (Bouvier) Trudeau; her siblings, Armand, Marie-Ange, Joseph, Rolande, Gerard, Victor, Julesbertine, Therese, Lucien, and Marie; a granddaughter Nicole Hayes; and son-in-law Mick Driscoll. She was born and raised in Ile-des-Chenes. Being one of the oldest, she learned to care for her siblings and work very hard. When she married, she moved near St. Pierre and knew how to care for a family and a farm. She worked courageously for their family, their farm and community. Mom would always encourage and was never a quitter. She wanted every child to be educated and happy. She had a good life, enjoying success on the farm and raising her children and travelling. The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 15. Viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Pierre Church and Holy Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Pierre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make donations to the Fondation Centre Medico de Salaberry, Repos Jolys, St. Pierre, MB R0A 1V0.
