NICHOLAS ST. HILAIRE 1985 - 2003 Accidentally on Monday, November 10, 2003, Nicholas St. Hilaire passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 18. He will be sadly missed by his parents Marc and Lorraine St. Hilaire; brothers, Noel and Martin; grandparents Romeo and Simonne St. Hilaire; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and relatives. Born on April 18, 1985, Nicholas was much loved by his large extended family and his numerous friends. He had a strong sense of self, was always willing to help out and enjoyed close relationships with his parents, brothers and grandparents. Nicholas had a special gift of connecting with people at all levels and was able to make everyone feel welcome and part of the group. In addition to attending Ecole Pointes-des-Chenes, he worked part-time for chicken producers with a crew of dedicated members who looked out for each other. Nicholas was diligent in his studies and dreamed of pursuing a university degree one day. Apres sa onzieme annee au secondaire, Nicholas a quitte sa famille et sa province pour se joindre a Katimavik ce qui lui a donne loccasion de vivre davantage dans sa langue et sa culture francophone et de tisser dautres relations intimes. Nicholas loved to play practical jokes and had a quick wit that made everyone laugh. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, riding horses, listening to music and spending time with friends. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15 at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB, at 10:30 a.m. Father Rene E. Chartier will celebrate the mass. Viewing begins at 9:30 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Hooker, Roy Friesen, Sebastien Lamarche, Francis St. Hilaire, Luc St. Hilaire and Raymond Mulaire. Pallbearers will be Chris Giesbrecht, Peter Neufeld, Mike James, Lance Simonin, Martin Leclerc and Ben Funk. Nicholass family would like to thank the staff at the Surgical ICU of the Health Sciences Centre for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nicholas memory to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, MS-7 Thorkalson Building, 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1R9 LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
