JEFFREY CHARLES PATTLE 1977 - 2003 Peacefully on November 12, 2003, surrounded by family and friends, our Jeff passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 25. Jeff is survived by loving parents, Charles and Melody; sister Jerilyn and friend Robert Li; grandmother Jean Pattle; Aunt Holly and Uncle Mervin Sachvie; cousin Jolene and husband Geoff Inkster and son Austin; cousin Derek Sachvie and friend Shay Appleton; and several great aunts and uncles. Jeffs grandmother Anne Massey passed just hours after him on November 13, 2003. Jeff was predeceased by grandfathers, Fred Massey and Milton Pattle. Jeff was born November 16, 1977 in Winnipeg, MB. Jeff graduated from Grant Park High School in 1995 and then continued his learning as a sprinkler and pipefitting apprentice. Throughout his childhood Jeff enjoyed playing hockey and camping at Birds Hill Park. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens and enjoyed watching Hockey Night in Canada with Dad. He loved listening to music and taking his grandmothers out for an afternoon of lunch and shopping. Jeffs true passion was his family and friends. His kind and caring nature was shown time after time throughout his illness as he was often more concerned for his friends and familys well being than his own. He was loyal and devoted and would never hesitate to help any one in need. Jeffs infectious laugh, love of life, positive attitude, strength of commitment to fight his leukemia were the qualities that carried his family through this devastating illness. Service will held on Tuesday November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Harrow United Church with Rev. Theresa Moysey officiating. Pallbearers will be Brendon Case, Cam Case, Clint Chester, Robert Li, Gary Orton, and Darren Sweird. We graciously thank the following for their dedication and compassion to Jeff and our family: Dr. E. Bow, Dr. M. Rubinger, staff of GD-6, staff of CancerCare Manitoba (BMT Clinic and treatment room), staff of MICU and special thanks to Jamie Vaughn. In lieu of flowers please send a donation in Jeffs memory to CancerCare Manitoba, Manitoba Blood and Marrow Transplant Program, 675 McDermot, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. We love you Jeff and we will miss your physical presence. You will always be with us in memory, in spirit and in our hearts. Rest peacefully and take care of Grandma Massey.
