W. FRANK BLACKWELL Peacefully surrounded by family, Dad passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2003, at the Grace General Hospital. Dad was predeceased by his beloved Amy; son Bill; and his brothers and sisters; also a stepgrandson Jim Sauve. He was born July 30, 1909, in Franklin, MB. Frank is survived by daughter Mary Benedictson (Jim) granddaughters, Kristine Benedictson (friend Ron), Stephanie Stamler (Murray) grandson Bill Blackwell (Gwen) daughter-in-law Doris Blackwell and her family Beverley Hoffman (Holger) and Bob Sauve (Annette) great-grandchildren, Katrin, Cameron, Joel and their father Tom, baby Adam and Gina. The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to all of the wonderful staff on 5 North at Grace General Hospital for their care and compassion shown us, especially this last week. Thank you, too, to the many friends at the St. James Kiwanis Courts and Lodge and to Cathie Van Dusen, John Gray and the Pastoral Care Team from Silver Heights United Church. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Kiwanis Courts Lodge, 90 Sinawik Bay, St. James, with reception following, Rev. Don Johnson officiating.
