BEATRICE BURTNIAK Beatrice Burtniak passed away peacefully at Winnipeg Convalescent Home on November 12, at the age of 88. She was born on April 4, 1915, in Fork River, MB. In 1936, Beatrice married John, and together they farmed and later operated a general store in Fork River. They retired in 1973. For the last fourteen years, she chose to make her home in Winnipeg. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, John; infant son Albert; her parents, John and Xenia Bestelechman; sisters, Dora, Ann and Mary; and brother Bill. Beatrice was a devoted wife, mother and baba. Leaving to cherish her memory are her loving family, one son Ernie (Arlene) of Abbotsford; two daughters, Dolly (Bob) McTavish of Tsawwassen, Hope Montess of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Randy Burtniak, Saskatoon, Laurie (Brian) Nielsen, Smithers, Robert McTavish, Toronto, and Michael Montess, Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Jessica and Bradley Nielsen; sisters, Katherine Restelli, Norfolk, Virginia, Lena Michaluk, Winnipeg; brother-in-law Peter Burtniak (Olive), Winnipeg; sister-in-law Ann Trudeau, Dauphin, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for their kind and compassionate care throughout our mothers stay there. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Riverside Evergreen Chapel, Dauphin, MB. Mr. Awdrie McFadyen will officiate with interment in the Riverside Cemetery. The Riverside Evergreen Chapel has care of the funeral arrangements. 1-204-638-4337
