NELLIE KINDRAT (SHUREK) Nellie Kindrat (Shurek), aged 88 years of Moose Jaw, SK and formerly of Winnipeg Beach, MB, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2003. The funeral service was held in Moose Jaw with burial in Rosedale Cemetery. Nellie was born in Moose Jaw and attended school at Mitchelton. She moved to Windsor, ON where she married Stanley Shurek. She lived there until 1946 when she moved to Winnipeg Beach living there until 1971 when she was transferred to Moose Jaw where she worked as a cook at C.F.B. Moose Jaw until her retirement in 1980. Nellie was a member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. Nellie was predeceased by her first husband Stanley; two sons, Walter and Edward. She will be sadly missed by her husband Nick; one brother Bill (Helen) Labuik of Mitchelton, SK; one sister Ann Zatchey of Moose Jaw; six grandchildren, Darlene, Stanley, Mark (Jacquie), Tammy (Tim), Dale Shurek, Kim (Wayne) Kmet; and one great-granddaughter Samantha Kmet; two daughters-in-law, Irene and Bernice Shurek. As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 725 - 9th Ave. S.W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 5X2.
