Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryESTELLE ANNE GERTRUDE WARNICA (nee HIEBERT) August 20, 1939 - November 10, 2003 Estella was born in Winkler, MB, the first born of Arnold and Anne (Brown) Hiebert. She has lived in many places - Manitoba, Indiana, Jamaica, Oman, and Lethbridge, AB for the past 20 years. She was multi--talented with music accomplishments in voice and piano. She also excelled in water colour and silk painting as well as a variety of other artistic mediums. Many of her beautiful works adorn the homes of family, friends and clients. She had a number of successful art shows including several in Manitoba and also Lethbridge. She loved the challenge of decorating her home and also gave professional interior decorating advice to many people. Estelle was an exceptional woman, battling cancer with a stamina that seemed superhuman. For 15 years she baffled health professionals and friends alike by conquering the illness and forging ahead again and again. Her health deteriorated progressively and she passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, November 10, 2003 with sons, Perry and Kent at her side. She was predeceased by mother Anne (Brown) Hiebert, father Arnold Hiebert, son Joel Warnica as well as mother-in-law Mae Warnica and father-in-law Harold Warnica. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by sons, Kent (Kathy) and Perry (Ginger) grandchildren, Matt, Riley, Lauren, and Kathryn; their father and grandfather Earle Warnica; her sisters, Shirley (John) Bestvater, Ruth Hiebert, Beverly (Walter) Wenaas, Bernice Klassen, Roxanne (Ken) Klassen and Cindy (Paul Bezilla) Hiebert; brothers, Patrick (Shelly) Hiebert and Charlie Clifford; mother Helen Hiebert and the entire Warnica family as well as many of her sons friends who also called her mom. A host of nieces and nephews will fondly remember her as an exceptional auntie. Hundreds of friends and relatives have been blessed by the impact of Estelles touch on their lives. A memorial service was held at Southminster United Church, 1011-4 Ave. S., Lethbridge, on Friday, November 14 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lois Punton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th St. S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 2M7.
