Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED LARSON October 25, 1928 - November 15, 2003 After a lengthy illness the family announces the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather Alfred Larson, on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was predeceased by his father Einar Larson; mother Esmerelda Larson; sisters, Hulda Thornhill, Grace Kozak; sister-in-law Mable Larson; and brothers-in-law, Frank Gaylord and Stan Gustafsen. Alfred was born and raised in McCrosson-Tovel township, Ontario. He married Ruby Klaus in Rainy River in 1957 where they farmed and raised three daughters, Marlene Rama (Dino), Marjorie Kolson (Jim), and Beverly Murray (Dave). They retired from farming in 1981 and lived in Rainy River until 1991. When they moved to Lac du Bonnet, MB they shared their time between the cottage and Orlando, Florida for many years. Alfreds forte was teasing, as many people will attest to. Throughout his life he also fished, snowmobiled, camped, and most of all spent time with his grandchildren, Trevor (Rachel), Nichole, Erika, Stephen, Jason, Ted and Elizabeth. Alfred is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Clarice Gustafsen, Kenneth Larson, Wallace Larson, Wayne Larson, and Linda Jewel (Raymond). A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Royal Canadian Mint) with reception to follow.
