BERYL MAY HIEBERT (nee TAYLOR) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on November 16, 2003 at the age of 75 years. Beryl will be greatly missed by her husband Bernhard; children, Diana Birch (Ken), Ken Hiebert, Rose Hiebert (Steven), Brenda Balzer (Tom) and Ed Hiebert; grandchildren, Tiana, Justin, Dayna, Jordan, Tyler, Logan, Dylan, Alexa, Michaella and Ryker. She was predeceased by her parents, Violet Taylor, Leonard Taylor; and her first grandchild Joshua. Mom met Dad through his sisters. They knew each other for years before they married in 1957. Mom loved to be around people which showed in her choice of work. She waitressed in Grand Beach and at Kresges for years. She then devoted herself to her family while she raised five children. She later went back to work as a waitress at the Barbeque Restaurant until the mid 1970s. Mom was a longtime member of the United Church and of the UCW (United Church Women). She was a member and phone captain of the Christian Womens Club for years. She was also a Block Watch Captain in her area. Mom had a generous spirit and loved life to the fullest, always with a positive outlook on life and a kind word for everyone. She was easygoing and loving, never a shortage of hugs and kisses when she was around. She was the best mom anyone could have asked for. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Marys Road United Church (formerly Regents Park) at 613 St. Marys Rd. Interment will follow at St. Vital Cemetery. The family expresses their sincere thanks to the doctors and staff on Ward 5B at the St. Boniface Hospital for their great care and also to the home care workers who came to her home.
