Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE MEUNIER RIVIERE Peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2003, Maurice Riviere passed away at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, MB at the age of 93 years. Born May 27, 1910 in Winnipeg, Maurice came to the Inwood area with his parents in 1918. He received his early education in Winnipeg and continued his education through his extensive library on everything from mechanics to music. He enjoyed carpentry from making special pieces of furniture to cabinets to building fishing boats. He was especially proud of the pulpit he built for the chapel room in the Teulon Hospital. An avid fisherman and hunter, his stories entertained his many friends and companions. Maurice had a keen sense of humour. He farmed at Inwood until his retirement to Teulon in 1973. A member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church at Inwood and lately St. Peter Lutheran Church Teulon. Maurice will be sadly missed by his many friends in the Senior Citizens Clubs and in the community. He was predeceased by his father Emile in 1943 and his mother Sarah - Madeline in 1950; his brother Frank in 1997, an infant sister and brother. Maurice is survived by a host of friends. Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon. Funeral service will be held in the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Inwood on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. Pastors, Claire Speary and Alf Sander will officiate. Interment will follow in the Inwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Brunger, Eskel Brurok, Robert Bardzey, Lawrence Skogan, Norman Jorheim and Clayton Kunzelman. Honorary pallbearers, Leif Rohne, Percy Roberts, Russel Kunzelman, Herb Kletke, George Schmidt and Lloyd Skogan. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or to a charity of ones choice.
